Guadalupe ''Lupita'' Franco was born on October 4th, 1946 in Southern Texas and resided in Houston, Texas. Lupita went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 23rd.

Lupita is preceded by her father, Gregorio and mother, Marcelina; her first born, Jose Paz; grandson, Ditto; grandparents, Abuelita Roberta y Abuelito Jose Anel along with aunts and uncles.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Jose Paz Franco; daughters, Maria, Enedelia, Rosalinda and Elizabeth ''Liz''; Sons, Jose and Jorge; Son-in-laws, Michael and Joel; Daughter-in-laws, Terri and Flor; Grandchildren, Melissa, Joey, Alex, Jorge, Daisy, Jonathan, Esmeralda, Miranda, Raiden, Genavive, Marissa and Greatgrandchildren, Juni, Joy, Georgina, Jonah and Emma.

Lupita was raised by her grandparents and although she had a hard childhood, her grandparents made sure it was full of love. She always spoke of their love with such gratitude and respect towards them. She was aware of the type of upbringing she had, but referred to it as ''it made her who she became'', which was a strong woman, wife and mother determined to make sure her children will have the type of home she never had. Although faced with many hardships and challenges, she was creatively resourceful and diligently worked side by side with her husband making sure their children's needs were always met. Some of her favorite sayings were "Never surrender'' and ''Nunca digas que tienes frio aunque te cobije el hielo'' (Never say, you are cold, even though you are covered with ice), along with others. Later in life she enjoyed traveling to visit her children and spending time with her grandchildren gave her great joy.

Mom was a people person who never met a stranger. She loved to serve at church. One of her devotions was to always serve her fellow man. She served at church for many years and became part of some of the church's organizations, her pride was the Guadalupanos and being a Eucharistic minister, where she was able to fulfill her devotion of helping others. Her favorite hobbies were singing, dancing, but as an avid gardener she took pride in plants. She loved roses among other flowers. She used to say working on her garden gave her life and she took pride in enjoying the peace and beauty of her work and what it meant to her. Along with maintaining her garden, it was her precious quite time she spent with the lord. She never comprised those moments, knowing that those moments, brought her closer to Jesus, which gave her comfort and understanding allowing her to find her peace and center. There are not enough words and statements to describe such an amazing woman.

Visitation services are 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024 at Roller- McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Pee Dee Cemetery.
