I am so sad to hear of Tom's passing. My heart breaks for all of his family. I worked with Tom for many years at Arkansas Children's Hospital Security Dept. During those years we talked about our families. Tom was a very dedicated "no nonsense " security officer, but when he spoke of his family he changed into a Teddy bear. He loved all of you so much. He could always make us laugh with his stories from the past. My favorite was when he was a young boy and jumped over a fence fell on a calf. The calf's mother then chased him back and forth over the fence until he got to a road. I laughed so hard I cried. I still tell others that story and I still laugh.
Tom's love of his family, his faith, his kindness and humor definitely left a footprint in many lives.

To Terry, Rich & all the Sponer Family:
I was so shocked to see this in the paper Friday. Let me say first of all Tom was a really great guy! I remembered him from the days of Exxon on McArthur. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. God bless all of you in this time of sorrow. If you need anything let me know.

Pappy when our 6 months turned into 6 days I felt cheated and anger. But then I knew I was being selfish you were tired and in pain and you were ready to go home. You have left a legacy that any man would be envious of. A wife that you cherished and four sons that you loved beyond words. Im so honored that you invited me into your life and treated me like a daughter I Wil miss you beyond words could ever exspress. Easter sunday was a fantastic day. When you turned to me and told me I was just like your daughter my heart melted. I will miss you so much. Till i see you again. I love you dad. .

Sponer family,
I am very heartbrokened by your loss; however, thinking of you all does nothing but put a big smile on my face. I have so many good memories growing up spending time with Mr. Tom my godfather and Ms. Babs on Trapp mountain. You all always showed me so much love and gave me a great example of what a loving marriage should be. I hope my husband and I have a long life together and will be together for over 50 years. Love always, Kimberly Dixon Gardner

I have known Tom for over 40 years. No one could have asked for a better friend. I loved him like a brother and he and Babs accepted me as family. There is no greater loss than to lose a truly loving person like Tom. He and Babs were inseparable as best friends and husband and wife. Together they raised 4 great boys you are admired and also loved by a great deal of people. We all in the Dixon family will keep Tom and his family in our prayers and deepest thoughts during this tragic time. God bless you all. Jim, Ruby and Cody Dixon
