Catherine,Andy and John,
So sorry for your loss. Have such fond memories of your Mom from the times we worked at St. Joseph together. My kids loved going back to the kitchen for her treats. Me too!
Have moved to Fayetteville but got to see Joan before I left and we had a great visit. Know you will miss her as we all will.
Love and prayers to all of you.

SHANNON AND FAMILY: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you.
My heartfelt deepest sympathy to Ms Catherine and the whole family. I was blessed to have lived next to Ms Joan (aka the Cat lady) for over 13 years. She has been like a mom to me....as mine was in Michigan. She looked out for me, comforted me when I was down, laughed with me when times were regular or extra good...and she shared her heart, her good cooking, her kindness to me as well as my children and grandchildren. I have missed her last few months as she had to move out and the last time I saw her was in the fall I believe. I told her I missed her, loved her and she looked at me and said..." I miss you too... I so want to come home but they won't let me. So take care, love you too and pray I will be "free " soon. She always wanted to be "free" like the cats she took care of and the birds she fed ...she had such a giving heart !!! I lost my mom, Sally, Jan 5 2014 and it has been hard...now my sub mom has gone and my ache grows bigger.... so Ms Joan meet Sally and Sally meet Ms Joan...hug.... laugh and be free, healthy and whole something you both deserve and earned. We will miss you but we also know and will try to remember when we get sad , all is good cause you are in a better place. Someday we'll be together, so you just wait in heaven till WE ALL meet again !!!
Andrea, we are so sorry about your loss. May you & your family be comforted in the peace of knowing she's at rest in Jesus' arms. We love you .
