Margie Marie Jarvis

of Bryant, AR

April 20, 1926 - September 27, 2014

Margie Marie Jarvis, age 88, of Bryant went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at her home. She was born April 20, 1926 in Austin, AR to the late Samuel W. and Nancy W. Robbins Ridgeway. Mrs. Jarvis had worked at Kellwood as a seamstress for 20 years and loved reading, crocheting, and doing things outdoors. She was a loving and caring person and her belief in the Lord and raising her seven children were most important in her life.

Besides her parents, who she lost at an early childhood age, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 ½ years, Frank E. Jarvis, nine brothers, and five sisters. Margie Marie was the youngest but outlived all of her siblings.

Survivors include three sons, Frank F. Jarvis of Prairie Grove, AR, Sam Jarvis (Connie) of Little Rock, and Steve Jarvis (Sue) of Hill City, SD; one stepson, James F. Jarvis of Walla Walla, WA; four daughters, Alice Elaine (Bill) Rice of Belton, MO, Shirley M. (Ken) McEuen of Benton, Sandra L. (Kenneth) Kempson of Shirley, AR, and Joyce (Cesar) Rivera of Huffman, TX; 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

No public service is planned. Arrangements are by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).

Cystic Fibrosis was dear to Mrs. Jarvis' heart since her grandson had it, so in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Suite 200, Bethesda, Maryland 20814.

The family would like to especially thank all the caregivers of Baptist Health Hospice and everyone who was so kind to their mom in their time of need.

Aunt Marie was a very special, kind, considerate and loving person; she took me under her wing many, many years ago, and kept our little boy while I worked, my little boy Steve was "little Steve", and Aunt Marie's son Steve was "big Steve": My son loved to stay with Aunt Marie, and so did I, many an evening, when I would pick up Steve, I would stay and visit; we loved Aunt Marie and will always keep her in our hearts. To the entire family we extend our heartfelt sympathy and our love always. We keep you in our prayers. Love you all, Chris and Harold

Mom, I cryed for you yesterday and everyday. I miss you so much. I pick up the phone each day to talk and realize this will not happen. You are in my heart and thought all the time. You were such a great mom to us all. Our lives were blessed to have you as our mom. You will live on in my heart.

My sincere sympathy goes out to the entire Jarvis family. Although I haven't seen your family for many years I remember all of you and I remember your dear mother. She was so kind to me when I was a little girl. She came to my mother's funeral many years ago and it was so wonderful to see her. May God bless you and comfort your hearts at this difficult time.

I have lived across the street from Ms. Margie for the past year. She was my little ray of sunshine everyday.
