Peggy Valentine, age 84, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Brookside Nursing Home in Springfield Missouri. She was born November 29, 1929, in Bruno-Pyatt, Arkansas, the daughter of F.M. and Elsie (Manley) Clary. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Irene Holland, Natalie Felkner, Francis Erwin, Ruth Ann Magness and her twin sister, Betty Erwin; two sons, Johnny Dale Drewry and Charles David Valentine; and her beloved husband, Carl Valentine.

Mrs. Valentine was raised in Arkansas and married the love of her life, Carl Valentine, whom she adored into her final days. Peggy worked 25 years at Walters Department Store and finally retired from White Rodgers- Emerson Electric at the age of 73. Peggy loved animals, especially her dog Carly, and her many cats.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Cindy J. Stone; her son, Gary Lynn Gale; her step-daughter, Sheila Wilkes; and her best friend, Judy Henderson. Peggy is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Christi Gale, Brandon Honeycutt, Kayla Stone, Isaac Stone, John Drewry, David Drewry, Anthony Silva, Nancy Silva, Teresa Gale, Elizabeth Lynn Gale, Matthew Gale, Nicholas Gale and Peter Gale; and 3 great-grandchildren, Lacy, Macky, and A. Z.


Visitation was Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Graveside service was Friday, November 28, 2014, at Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John King, Denzel Stringer, Don Magness, Ralph Skaggs, Dicky Dill, Brandon Honeycutt and Isaac Stone.

peggy i miss you and ill always remember you, you made a big impact in my life ive never met anyone sweeter than sugar besides you i will never forget the stories that you told me mostly about cats and youre life i will miss youre laugh youre robes you wore the coffee we drank together the sweet hugs and sugars but most of all i will miss you i remember the first time we met you just got done checking youre mail and it was around the fourth of july i went down to set fireworks off on the road and youre dog carly started towards the gate and the fire crackers went off and carly shot off and hit the screen door from there we bonded we both laughed and talked and started a great friendship i love you peggy sorrows sent out to the family
