David Leon Thomas, 64, of Clarksville, passed away Monday July 6, 2015 in Clarksville. Mr. Thomas was born May 1, 1951 to Guy and Mary (Dobbs) Thomas in Lake Providence, Louisiana. Mr. Thomas was a loving father, a graduate of the Eaton Barber College class of 1969, his passion was driving trucks, he was the owner and operator of David L. Thomas Trucking Company, and a livestock hauler for Hogan Transport. Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by his father and wife Judy Thomas.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Debra Caldwell Thomas; mother, Mary Thomas of Clarksville, five daughters, Connie and William Wise of Lamar, Angie and Darrin Dossett of Lamar, Nikki and Henry Holt of Clarksville, Angie and Bruce Jacobs of Oklahoma, Amanda Harper of Clarksville; one son Bryan Thomas of Lamar; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Kelly Thomas of Coal Hill; three brothers, Ronnie Thomas of Clarksville, Stewart and Becky Thomas of Coal Hill, Mike Thomas of Clarksville; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sorry to hear about David's passing. Liz and I came up to pay our respects, but David had been cremated and no one seemed to know when there would be a memorial service. We had to leave after three days.
