of Mountain View, AR

June 19, 1912 - August 1, 2015

Mrs. Audrey Evelyn Smith, age 103 of Mesa, Arizona went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 1st, 2015 at Highland of Mountain View in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 19th, 1912 to Chester Tieman and Anna Velma (Kellem) Tieman.

In 2010, Miss Audrey, as she was affectionately known, moved to Big Flat where she lived with daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Harry Wiseman before moving into the Stone Co. Rehab and Nursing facility in 2012.
While living in the area she enjoyed the musicians and crafters at the Ozark Folk Center and the Craft Village. Before moving into the nursing facilitiy, she also enjoyed being at Main Street Antiques with her daughter, sitting in her recliner or on the bench in front of the store meeting and visiting with customers and friends and in general, people watching. She participated in the activities at the facility including being the district's 1st runner-up for Nursing Home Queen in 2012. She then went to Little Rock for the state wide contest taking the place of the District Queen who was unable to go. This was a highlight during her time in Arkansas.

She was grandmother to 5 grandsons, Mark Guhl & wife Lupe, Jeff Guhl, Eric Guhl & wife Olga, Peter Guhl & wife Debbie, and Nathan Guhl all of the Kansas City area. She had 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, a nephew, Archie Tieman of Graham, WA, and niece, Glenda Pace of Central, Utah. There are also 5 step-grandchildren and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and husband of 47 years, Carl Smith.
She was a faithful Christian and held membership in a Baptist Church in Mesa, AZ.
Family wishes to thank all who showed so much kindness, concern, and support during her time in AR. including the staff and residents at the nursing facility now known as Highlands of Mountain View SNF, and Hospice of North Arkansas.

Cremation services are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
Place and time for distribution of ashes is yet to be determined.
