Velma Shreve Chinn, 86, of Batesville died Monday, November 30, 2015, at White River Medical Center.

Born June 28, 1929 in Cord, she was the daughter of W.J. ''Bud'' Shreve and Dovie Henley Shreve.

She worked 39 years at International Shoe Company and was foreman in the cutting room. Velma had a zest for life and adventure. She enjoyed crafts, traveling, especially cruises, and traveled in 48 states and 45 foreign countries. She helped her friends and neighbors by taking them to doctor's appointments and various places.

Survivors include a son, Bryan Ross of Cord; a daughter, Paulette Moore of Chattanooga, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Dusty Ross, Charlye Ross and Bryan Moore; two great-grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth Ross and Luke Aaron Moore; and a brother, Vurl ''Bud'' Shreve, of Batesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two spouses, J. F. Ross and Ulman Chinn.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015, in the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Dailey officiating.

Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, prior to the service.
