Charles R. "Bud" Johnson, 87, formerly of Marked Tree, AR, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Phoebe Berks Healthcare Center, Wernersville, PA. He was the widower of Martha "Sue" (Walker) Johnson who passed away November 22, 2003.

Born in Marked Tree, he was a son of the late William M. and Bessie Pauline (Doyle) Johnson. Bud graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. United States Army Veteran, he served in Thule, Greenland during the Korean War. An electrical engineer, Bud worked for Western Electric for 35 years until his retirement.  He was a member of Wyomissing Church of the Brethren, Wyomissing, PA.

He is survived by two daughters, Charla, wife of Todd Clark, of Nebraska and Carey, wife of David Babczak of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren Matthew and Devon Clark, Lindsey and Jayme Babczak, and Danae and Kirstyn Johnson, daughters of his pre-deceased son, Sidney W. Johnson of Colorado. He was also pre-deceased by his daughter, Susan Reagan Johnson.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, 1902 Hwy 65 S., Clinton, AR 72031 with a graveside service beginning at 11:30 am in Clinton Cemetery, Clinton, AR.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear, loved one. Death is hard to deal with. Even Jesus gave way to tears when Lazarus died (John 11:35).
