Bobbie Ruth Shelby, 85, of Searcy passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. She was born January 8, 1932 in Cooperas Springs, Arkansas to the late Robert Woosley and Pearl Dehart Woosley.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, James ''Doc'' Shelby, husband of 11 years, Floyd Shelby whom she married after the passing of ''Doc'', one daughter; Sandra Shell, four brothers; John, Jack, Robert, and William Woosley, and four sisters; Nann Miller, Jenny Brown, Faye Brandon, and Ina Brandon.
She is survived by two sons Garry Shelby (Tonya) of Mayflower and Kenneth Shelby (Tonya) of Searcy, one step son; Keith Shelby (Linda) of Searcy one son in law; Billy Shell of Searcy, one step daughter; Anita Leslie (James) of Damascus and four grandchildren; Shannon Shelby of Jonesboro, Ivy Shelby of Mayflower, Kellie Standley of Tallahassee Florida, and Samuel Shelby of Searcy.
Bobbie was a long time member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Searcy.
She retired from the International Shoe Factory after many years of service.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Gum Springs Cemetery in Searcy, with Bro, Keith Lunceford officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday April 23, 2017 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Miller, Kevin Miller, Rusty Miller, Keith Shelby, Keith Woosley, and Tony Layrock.
The Shelby family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Oakdale Nursing Home and Salem Place Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided for Bobbie.

I am so sorry to hear of Bobbie's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
