Isabel M. Smith-Ruiz, 85, of Conway passed away Friday, May 19, 2017. She was born October 17, 1931 to the late Librado and Consuelo Solis. Isabel was also preceded in death by her husbands, Verne Smith and Ben Ruiz, three brothers, Jimmy, Frank, and Richard Solis, three children, James Rankins, Verne Smith, Jr., and Barbara Hartley.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Edita "Dee" Walker (Frank), Nora O'Brien (John), two sons, Larry (Lori) and Sam Smith (Sharon), 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, sister in law, Vivian Solis, aunts, cousins, and special friends at Mayflower Senior Center.
Graveside service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, May 23rd at Lines Cemetery, with Bro. Billy Crow officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Johnson, Vance Hawkins, Ernesto Jasso, Carl Erickson, Crissy Erickson, Nicholas Brown, and David Warner.

My condolences to the family. May you find true hope in Jesus' promise at John 5:28,29. It's comforting knowing that death is only temporary and that in the future here on earth, we'll be able to embrace again our dear loved ones that we have temporarily lost in death and miss so much. Our condolences are with you. We have alot of good memories together with Aunt Liz up town in the big white house, at gram and grampas house on 8th Street during tulip time, and working in the restaurant with Aunt Liz waiting tables and working in the Kitchen. She'll always be remembered for her laughter and witty personality.
