Wesley ''Wes'' Carnell Dinwiddie, 61, of Sherwood, passed away January 25, 2015. Wesley was born September 22, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Geraldine Dinwiddie.
Wesley is survived by his wife and best friend of thirty-seven years, Katie Lynne Dinwiddie; son, Christopher ''Chris'' Wesley Dinwiddie and family, Jennifer Garrison, Chandler, Ashton and Jayden of Cabot; and daughter, Shelley Lynne Dinwiddie; grandson, Titan Christopher Dinwiddie; and granddaughter, Ayden Lynne Dinwiddie, all of Sherwood; and a host of other family and friends.
Wesley had recently retired after thirty-five years with Union Pacific Railroad Signal Communication Department. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen.
Wesley loved the great outdoors and hunted and fished every chance he could. He especially loved fishing with his son, ''Chris'' and often fished Lake Conway. He loved hunting near Evening Shade with his long-time friend, Ray Runsick and working on his fishing boat with his good friend, Larry Massey. He loved his daughter, Shelley and his grandchildren, Titan and Ayden with all his heart. His grandchildren called him ''Papaw''. Wesley ''Wes'' ''Papaw'' will be missed greatly.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 30, 2015 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas (501-791-7400), with visitation following the service.
wesley you were a good man and made a good name for you and your family. So sorry you left this home early.

Elmo Dinwiddie was my Dad, Wesly was my cousin. Remember Wes from way back in the 70's when he had thick curly hair. Always a fun and cheerful person to be around.

He was always good to the boys and the two of you taking Matt with you on vacations was so special and wonderful memories for all. He was always quick with a hug and hello. I looked up to Wesley. He lived up the hill but would come down and play catch with me when I was 14. He taught me how to make a "fastball" move. It sounds like a silly memory but it is a good one for me. He was kind when he didn't have to be and it taught me that a real man is also a kind one. Reading about his life, I can see that he continued his practice of being kind at all times and that many loved him.
